In 1981, Mr. Qaiesi started Kenpo in Oak forest, Illinois. 2 years later, Husein joined a Taekwondo school in Midlothian.
In 1986, Husein earned his 1st degree black belt; he was assisting his instructor with teaching the class.
He enjoyed helping new students to achieve their goals in martial arts. In 1992, Husein earned his 2nd degree black belt; in the same year he trained boxing at Gator gym in Worth, Illinois, he also working at Youth of America Outreach Program in several locations teaching martial arts. Husein earned his 3rd degree black belt in 1996 and went on trip to the mother land (South Korea) for 9 days. “It was a trip of a life time,”
he said.In the meantime, Husein attended many seminars learning joint locks, pressure points, small circle jujitsu and arnis (Filipino sticks). Husein’s passion is to help children and adults learn martial arts.“Now I have my children and my granddaughter practicing with us and I love it”, Husein said.
From 2003 – 2013 Husein taught self‐defense classes, FM‐107, at Purdue University Calumet,where he graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. With a full time job, family, and karate instructor, that didn’t stop Husein from earning his MBA in 2008 from Argosy University in Schaumburg.“This sport is for everyone, this is the only sport that allows you to be with your child in the same class at the same time. If we could do it, so can you. Come and join us.”
Mr. Scott Gloss
Mr. Gloss started training in martial arts in 1982 as a young boy. He took classes at numerous schools of various styles throughout the years.
He has always enjoyed all aspects of the art including its philosophy and the discipline that martial arts teaches.
Mr. Gloss was born in Chicago and other than four years in Germany has lived in the Chicagoland area his
whole life always in search of additional martial arts knowledge.

Mr. Gloss has been married for over 20 years and is the father of four.
His wife and four kids also study martial arts through Karate Unlimited.
His wife, Sara, and oldest daughter, Kendall, are first degree black belts and also teach. His other daughters,
Avery and Shelby are both second degree brown belts while his son Cole has recently began at Karate Unlimited.
Mr. Gloss works in downtown Chicago at an engineering firm where he designs power stations at various locations throughout the country.
Goals:Mr. Gloss goals and desires are to teach and share his enthusiasm of martial arts with everyone.

Mr. Lance Skelly
Martial Arts Background and Personal Information:Mr. Skelly is a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has been studying martial arts for 20 years,
teaching for 12 years and has had many locations of his own.
Mr. Skelly is married to his wife Jessica and they have a son named Blake. He hopes that they will be black belts in the future.

Mr. Skelly's goal is to make sure that each student learns discipline and each student learns to grow and become the best martial artist to their ability.Also to motivate each student to do great things even outside martial arts and strive to succeed in life and to hopefully be a great martial arts teacher one day.
Mr. Skelly's dream is to see Karate Unlimited USA continue to grow and make our martial arts family bigger and see our students become future black belts and great leaders.
Mr. Kenneth Batilo
Ken started martial arts training by the age of 10 in February of 1996.
He has trained with Mr. Qaiesi
for about 15, from the early years of Youth of America to what we know now as Karate Unlimited.
He has also trained with Mr. Qaiesi at American Taekwondo Association (ATA) from 1997‐1999 at the Oak
Forest location, learning one‐step sparring, additional self‐defense techniques, and weapons. As well as training in Kook Sool Kwon in Melrose Park. He continued his training until he moved to Washington state for 2 years.When he returned in 2007, he continued his training with Mr. Qaiesi but also started taking classes in Kung Fu at Bei Dou Kung Fu in the Naperville location to obtain new knowledge and to take on a new challenge in his martial arts journey.After achieving his 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, he continued to train with Mr. Qaiesi and started creating his own forms to improve his skills and creativity.Ken has been teaching/assisting Mr. Qaiesi since he was 13, and very knowledgeable of all forms, stances, techniques, and attention to detail.
With over 15 years of experience, he has gained knowledge of how to teach each individual student to his/her skill level.
Ken has been in many demonstrations in numerous events such as body building event,
numerous tournaments, and parades in Bolingbrook and at China town.
He competed in many tournaments,
starting with the local closed tournaments hosted by Youth of America. Placing 1st in forms/kata and 2nd in sparring on his first tournament as a white belt.
Later to compete at state wide tournaments with ATA in Ohio, Indiana and Iowa, most placing in the top 4 spots.
He also competed on his first
Chinese Martial arts Tournament in 2013 and won 2 gold medals for Long Fist and Broadsword.
Miss Jennifer Qaiesi
Jennifer started Taekwondo when she was four years old; she took a break when she was a blue belt.
Two years later, she came back with determination to earn her black belt.
She enjoys teaching children self‐defense, and being a part of Karate Unlimited.
Jennifer earned her 1st degree black belt along with her sister. Now she is a student at Purdue Calumet University majoring in accounting.
Mrs. Jennifer Pozdzal
Mrs. Jennifer Pozdzal has studied exclusively with Mr. Qaiesi since 2005 after taking a self-defense class
at Purdue University Calumet taught by him. In three short years she received her 1st degree black belt
in December of 2008.
Mrs. Pozdzal was Mr. Qaiesi’s first student in the state of Indiana to receive a black belt under his
Besides studying Taekwondo, Mrs. Pozdzal is also the Assistant Director
of the Indiana Youth Ballet, a certified Jazzercise instructorand 1st Grade teacher in Merrillville, Indiana.
She resides in Schererville Indiana with her husband and daughters ages 2 and 1 month.

Mrs. Mellissa Qaiesi
Mellissa joined Taekwondo when she was four years old. Like her sister, Mellissa didn’t want to advance in belts alone so she took a break also.
When Mellissa came back to the karate, they were both motivated to earn their black belts together in 2010. Mellissa and her sister tested
in Hammond and Berwyn and passed the test to become 1st degree black instructors.
Mellissa’s goal is to teach her daughter, Mayar, 2 years old, and her children to come. Mellissa now attends Purdue Calumet University and is majoring in pharmacy.
